The APC SRT5KRMXLT is a Smart-UPS that supplies five thousand volt-amperes of on-line backup power to servers, network switches, and other mission critical equipment. It installs in a standard 3U rack position and delivers 5.4kVA or 4.8kW of continuous capacity, so essential workloads stay available when utility power becomes unstable.

The unit uses a double conversion on-line design. Incoming AC is converted to DC and then back to AC, which removes voltage spikes, sags, and harmonic distortion. The output remains a pure sine wave even if the input voltage or frequency drifts, making this model well suited for small data centers, edge computing cabinets, or any location where power quality is uncertain.

Connectivity is straightforward. The rear panel offers two NEMA L6-20R and two NEMA L6-30R outlets, so you can power mixed gear without additional adapters. An L6-30P plug on a ten-foot cord reaches the power distribution panel with room to spare. If runtime needs grow, you can attach external battery packs, and because the internal batteries are hot swappable, you can replace them without taking the protected load offline.

Management tools are built in. A pre-installed Network Management Card lets you view status, configure alerts, and execute a controlled shutdown through a web browser or SNMP. The LCD screen on the front offers at-a-glance information when you are on site, and PowerChute Network Shutdown software coordinates an orderly shutdown of physical and virtual servers during extended outages.
