The Aruba JW814A is an Instant Dual-Radio Wi-Fi Access Point built for places where many people need reliable wireless service at the same time. It delivers a combined throughput of up to 2 Gb/s, sharing 300 Mb/s on the 2.4 GHz band and 1733 Mb/s on the 5 GHz band, so students, guests, and employees can stream video, join video calls, or sync large files without delay.

A single Gigabit Ethernet port that supports PoE+ carries both data and power, allowing clean ceiling or wall installations with just one cable. The included mounting clips snap into standard ceiling grids, making installation straightforward for facility or IT staff.

The access point can serve up to 512 client devices through its 4x4 MU-MIMO radio, maintaining smooth performance even in lecture halls, hotel corridors, or open offices. An integrated sensor watches the radio spectrum for interference and intrusion, helping you keep the network stable and secure.

Beyond Wi-Fi, the JW814A contains a Bluetooth radio that enables location and wayfinding services. Retailers can guide shoppers to in-store promotions, hospitals can direct visitors to departments, and enterprises can track valuable assets without adding separate beacons.

Deployment is streamlined by Aruba Instant technology. Power up the first unit, set your network name and security settings, and any additional Aruba Instant access points will discover each other and form a cluster automatically. WPA, WPA2, and WPA3 authentication options give you flexibility to match existing policies.

The enclosure measures roughly seven inches square and less than two inches deep, blending into most indoor spaces. A USB-A port is available for future expansion such as IoT sensors or cellular backhaul. With an operating range of 32 to 82 degrees Fahrenheit, the unit fits comfortably in classrooms, offices, and retail areas that are already climate controlled.

Keep in mind that the JW814A does not ship with a power adapter. If your network switch does not provide PoE+, you will need to add an 802.3at injector or mid-span.
