Heavily modified Atari 600XL with many quality of life upgrades. The first and largest upgrade is the inclusion of the "DecentXL" mechanical keyboard. These keyboards are make to order and very expensive, and rightfully so as it is absolutely amazing. This keyboard replacement alone was $300.
I have also added a Sofia2 board which takes over the original video chip and allows outputting via DVI to HDMI the best picture you can probably ever obtain from the machine.
Also, the computer was upgraded from the stock 16K of RAM to 64K. So it is completely as capable as an 800XL but in a nicer 600XL form factor.
The audio has also been broken out to an RCA connection.
The original 600XL was a small crippled machine. But now, this is in my opinion the BEST Atari computer to own. Nice compact form factor, fully capable and the best keyboard and video out experience you can have.
I am very on the fence about parting with this one. A lot of work was involved! Comes with two carts as well.
