The Fractal Design FD-C-DEF7A-01 is a mid-tower PC case that gives you the freedom to build a system on your own terms. It welcomes ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and E-ATX motherboards up to 285 mm deep, leaving enough clearance for long graphics cards, tall air coolers, and generous cable routing.
Inside, a dual-layout design lets you decide between an open configuration for maximum airflow or a storage-oriented setup that makes room for multiple drives. Because the internal panels are modular, you can switch layouts at any time without starting from scratch.
Cooling is handled out of the box by three pre-installed 140 mm fans. You can expand to a total of nine fans or mount liquid-cooling radiators up to 420 mm on the top and 360 mm in the front. With the front fan removed, the chassis accepts graphics cards up to 19.33 inches, and it supports CPU tower coolers up to 7.28 inches and power supplies up to 9.84 inches.
Steel panels lined with sound-dampening material tame fan noise and coil whine, so the case fits naturally in a gaming corner, a living-room media center, or a shared office. The anodized aluminum front door opens on a sturdy hinge and closes with a magnetic latch, giving quick access to the 5.25-inch bay without adding visible seams.
On the top edge, the front I/O panel puts four USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C port, and dedicated audio jacks within easy reach for peripherals and external drives. Tool-less side panels and tidy cable channels accelerate the build process and make later upgrades simple.
Choose this case if you want a platform that can grow with your hardware, stay quiet under load, and look understated on any desk.
