The HPE P26264-B21 is a four port SFP28 Ethernet adapter that delivers either 10 or 25 gigabit per second links, giving your server the bandwidth it needs for data intensive workloads.

The card connects through a PCIe Gen4 x16 slot, which provides sufficient bus bandwidth to keep the network links saturated without creating a bottleneck between the processor and the outside world.

Each SFP28 cage accepts either fiber transceivers or direct attach copper cables, so you can match the adapter to the cabling that already exists in your rack or upgrade later without swapping hardware.

The design centers on the Broadcom BCM57504 controller, a chip that is widely used in data centers because it handles large volumes of traffic while maintaining low latency.

For virtualized environments the adapter supports SR-IOV, which maps virtual functions directly to guest operating systems and reduces CPU overhead. It also supports RoCE v2 for low latency RDMA workloads and recognizes overlay protocols such as VXLAN, NVGRE, and GENEVE. These capabilities make it easier to build software defined networks that separate tenants and scale horizontally.

If you rely on network boot, the card works with both UEFI and legacy BIOS PXE methods. Typical power draw is 15.2 watts, a level that helps dense server racks stay within power budgets.

Choose this adapter when you are refreshing a virtualization cluster, building an all flash storage array, or fitting edge nodes that need high throughput but limited space. Its mix of speed, flexibility, and advanced offload features allows administrators to meet today’s traffic demands and keep a clear path for future growth.

Highlights:

  • Four SFP28 ports that operate at either 10 or 25 Gb Ethernet speeds
  • PCIe Gen4 x16 host interface prevents internal bottlenecks
  • Broadcom BCM57504 controller for reliable throughput and low latency
  • SR-IOV and RoCE v2 support to accelerate virtual machines and RDMA traffic
  • Compatible with VXLAN, NVGRE, and GENEVE network overlays
  • Works with UEFI and legacy BIOS PXE boot workflows
  • Typical operating power is 15.2 watts
