Pair the controller with HPE D3610, D3710, or D6020 enclosures and you can scale out quickly while keeping management under the same HPE tools you already use. If your organization needs encrypted drives for regulatory compliance, an optional license unlocks data-at-rest protection, with FIPS 140-2 Level 1 certification currently under review.
Installation is straightforward. Slide the card into an available PCIe slot, connect Mini-SAS HD cables to your external enclosure, and complete the setup through the familiar HPE Smart Storage interface. Remember that the Smart Storage Battery, required for full cache protection, is sold separately.
