The Shure AD4QNP=-A is a four-channel receiver designed for Axient Digital wireless systems. Housed in a single-rack-unit chassis, it brings together wide UHF coverage, robust digital signal processing, and flexible networking so engineers can run multiple microphones with confidence in theaters, broadcast trucks, or touring rigs.
Each channel employs true digital diversity, meaning two independent RF front ends constantly compare incoming signals and choose the stronger path. The result is consistent audio, even in venues where reflections and crowd movement can challenge reception. A selectable latency floor of 2 ms keeps real-time feel intact for in-ear monitoring, live mixing, and broadcast situations that demand frame-accurate audio.
The receiver covers 470 to 636 MHz, a 166 MHz span that simplifies frequency coordination when you travel across regions or share spectrum with other wireless devices. When extra reach is needed, Quadversity mode lets you deploy four antennas to extend coverage or overcome structural obstacles. High Density mode condenses up to 47 transmitters into a single 6 MHz TV channel, a benefit in metropolitan areas where open spectrum is scarce.
Signal routing is straightforward. Analog outputs appear on balanced XLR connectors, while digital signals are available through AES3 as well as Dante and AES67 over a built-in four-port switch. That switch also provides network redundancy, remote control, and Dante Cue monitoring, allowing front-panel headphone checks of any channel on the network. For events that carry sensitive content, 256-bit AES encryption safeguards every transmission from stage to console.
The AD4QNP=-A integrates seamlessly with all AD and ADX handheld or bodypack transmitters, making it a flexible hub for concert vocals, theater lavaliers, conference podiums, and panel discussions. Whether you manage a festival with dozens of channels or outfit a broadcast studio that values rock-solid uptime, this receiver gives you the tools to keep the show moving without RF surprises.
