The SM86 capsule uses a cardioid pickup pattern that focuses on the voice while rejecting stage bleed. A built-in two-stage filter helps tame breath hits and wind noise, which keeps lyrics intelligible during loud rock shows, corporate keynotes, or outdoor services.

Three selectable RF output settings at 1, 10, or 20 milliwatts let you balance coverage with battery life, while AES 256-bit encryption keeps the signal private in corporate or broadcast environments. Pairing with a compatible ULX-D receiver takes only seconds thanks to infrared sync and automatic frequency and power lockout.

The transmitter runs for as long as 11 hours on standard AA batteries and more than 12 hours when you add the optional SB900A rechargeable pack. A backlit LCD shows remaining runtime, RF power, and menu options at a glance.
