The sculpture offered here — "Don Quixote" — is a collector edition bronze belonging to an extraordinary body of sculptural work by Dali referred to as the "Clot Collection."
The collection, named for Isidro Clot, a Spanish art lover and friend who commissioned them from Dali, was created by Dali in the 1960s and 1970s. The Maestro modeled each of these sculptures directly in wax at his house in Port Lligat in Spain. The sculptures of the Clot Collection are cast in the European Bronze finery.
