Square D float switch opens and closes an electric circuit by upward movement of the lever arm effortlessly. The float pressure switch facilitates controlling the liquid in a receiving tank or sump. The contacts of this water level float switch open on the liquid rise and are used for tank filling applications. The maximum force to trip the float switch is 8 oz. or 227 g. Mount the switch horizontally using the mounting feet, and it acts as a water level sensor. This float switch does not provide motor protection, but it may be used as a pilot or control switch to operate an overload-protected starter.
