Played for about 1 1/2 years, this violin has a fibreboard body and has Red Label Medium Gauge (GDAE, steel core with nickel winding) strings with fine tuners. There are minor chips in the finish on some of the the edges of the violin's body.(As shown in the extremely close-up photos above) The bow needs to be restrung and the bow grip needs new tape. This instrument may be best suited to teaching a beginner violinist, keeping as a backup instrument, or acoustic research projects.
